Friends and loved ones. Just wanted to say hello I love you. Just sitting thinking about past memories, adventures, smiles, hugs, and a few awkward shoulder shrugs. Spring is in the air blowing in all our hair. Heroic epic

It is narrative poetry that tells about the feats of heroes and warriors. The hero is always described as very brave and positive. He will fight for his lord till the end, or protect the villagers form dangerous beasts with his bare hands. Often the hero dies in his final battle and becomes a legend, or he returns home where he is celebrated as a true hero. Most of the stories take place in the time of the Anglo-Saxons. This specific period of time presents us stories of a glorious military past. It embodies concepts of what aristocratic life should be like in the present world, e.g. traditional values of a warrior society such as deeds of valour, treasure, courage, fame, or true loyality. In heroic epics they are praised their values to be held up and cherished in this world.

Dating: The English heroic epic can be dated in the 10th century, but it is assumed that pieces like “Beowulf” were transmitted oraly long before and were finally written down in the 10th century.

Orgin: Anglo-Saxon warfare

Examples: Beowulf the most famous OE heroic epic, is set in southern Scandinavia during the migration period of the 5th and 6th centuries. It relates the great deeds of its hero Beowulf in his youth and in his later years as king of the Geats.
The exemplary life of Beowulf sets a pattern of those to follow who want to make a career as loyal retainers of their lords; at the same time, the poem propagates the norms and values of a warroir society, depicting a society which consists of nothing but kings and their retainers.

Dear friends its 2009. It's the perfect time for us to smile. We made it this far a long way from a time when we were covered with hair holding crudely fashioned tools. Something happened in this great transition from beast to man. We forgot how to smile. The world around us acts like the saber tooth tiger we used to flee. Now this great beast is all the negativity we are currently bombarded with on a daily basis. The world we live in is such a beautiful place. Its silly,profound,inspiring, not to mention super awesome all at the same time. The great Bill Shakespeare once said... ...How far that little candle throws its beams! So shines a good deed in a naughty world. Our candles will be smiles throwing our beams of happiness on the world.... Our crude weapons will be positive thoughts beating back the beasts lurking in the shadows...

So I ask of you to be silly with me. I would like you to tell me about things that make you smile. Like a cat sneezing. A fond memory of eating apple pie at your grandmother's house. This is a place for friends,dreams and good feelings. You see we are all connected born from the stars and together we all can remember how to shine brightly..
